You have been pretty lucky in love

How can you've live for so long and still not get it?
This self obsession is a waste of living.
It could be spend in surviving things, appreciating nature, nurturing kindness and friendship, and dancing. You have been pretty lucky in love though, if I may say so.

I mean you were...very passionate

Don Johnston:
I mean you were...very passionate.
Carmen:
Yeah well, passion is a funny thing.

Spike Jonze is a tree hugger?

Alfred:
He's a very committed environmentalist.
Steve:
Spike Jonze is a tree hugger?
Jesus, I never would've had him down as that.
Alfred:
Well... I think he prefers the term "leaf people."

I love film because film is very related to music

Music, to me, is the most beautiful form,
and I love film because film is very related to music.
It moves by you in its own rhythm.
It's not like reading a book or looking at a painting.
It gives you its own time frame, like music,
so they are very connected for me.
But music to me is the biggest inspiration.
When I get depressed, or anything, I go
"think of all the music I haven't even heard yet!"
So, it's the one thing. Imagine the world without music.
Man, just hand me a gun, will you?

Nothing is original...Authenticity is invaluable

Nothing is original.
Steal from anywhere that resonates
with inspiration or fuels your imagination.
Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul.
If you do this, your work will be authentic.
Authenticity is invaluable;
originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “
It’s not where you take things from - it’s where you take them to
